Bahrain National Robotics Competition concludes

Manama, November 8 (BNA) The 11th edition of the Bahrain National Robotics Competition concluded today. The closing ceremony was attended by the First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the General Sports Authority and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa.

The Ministry of Education organized a two-day competition sponsored by the Britos Educational Foundation. The 2022 edition, which was held at Al Areen Palace Resort and Spa, attracted 222 students who make up 74 teams from public and private schools.

His Highness said: “The continuation of this competition for the eleventh year confirms its achievement of objectives and benefiting from the creative and innovative abilities of students in the field of science and technology.”

He stressed the importance of this competition, which reflects Bahrain’s educational steps, praising His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for their support to the development process.

His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad praised Brits Education for sponsoring the competition, which reflects the constructive cooperation between the public and private sectors.

The Minister of Education, Dr. Majid bin Ali Al Nuaimi, stressed the importance of this competition, which is being held for the eleventh time, in motivating students to actively participate and present creative ideas in the field of robotics.

He pointed out that the number of students participating in the competition increased from 154 students last year to 222 enthusiastic participants in 2022. Chairman of the Board of Directors of Britos Education Hisham Al Rayes expressed his thanks and gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad for sponsoring the competition.
