Bahrain, Jordan discuss cultural cooperation

Manama, Jan. 4 (BNA): The President of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities, Sheikh Khalifa bin Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, received the Jordanian Minister of Culture, Haifaa Najjar.

The President of the Academy praised the deep Bahraini-Jordanian cultural relations and the development they are witnessing through cultural exchange programmes.

He praised Jordan’s history and its rich and diverse Arab heritage, stressing that this year will witness greater cooperation between institutions in the two kingdoms in various cultural fields.

Al-Najjar praised Bahrain’s efforts in strengthening bilateral relations, and stressed the importance of Bahrain’s history, culture and civilization to the Arab cultural movement.

She said that cultural cooperation always contributes to the progress of the two countries and brings the two peoples together to meet common national aspirations and visions.
