Bahrain, Italy review bilateral interests

Manama, Jan. 11 (BNA): Shura Council Speaker Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh received the Italian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Paola Amadi.

The Shura Speaker praised the fruitful Bahraini-Italian relations and the achievements of the joint development programs with the support of the two leaderships.

He praised the existing partnerships in the sectors of trade, tourism and cultural exchange.

Al-Saleh expressed his pride in the bilateral efforts to support peace, coexistence, dialogue, and spread tolerance and brotherhood among all peoples and countries of the world, pointing to the opening of the King Hamad Chair for Interfaith Dialogue and Peaceful Coexistence in Sapienza. The university in Rome, which was launched more than four years ago, confirms the strength of relations.

The Speaker of the Council said that the Council is interested in strengthening bilateral parliamentary relations with the Italian Parliament, and unifying visions and positions on issues and topics of common concern.

The ambassador praised the achievements and successes achieved by the Kingdom in the development process, and praised the values ​​and principles rooted in the Kingdom of tolerance, coexistence and mutual respect among all.

She referred to Bahrain as a civilized and developed country that has distinguished relations with Italy, and praised the Council’s role in highlighting what the Kingdom is achieving at all levels, through its active and positive presence in international parliamentary forums.
