Manama, May 25 (BNA): Bahrain International Airport has boosted its food and beverage offerings with the launch of Runway (R) 12, a dedicated gym overlooking the concourse, Bahrain Airport Company (BAC) announced. . The venue was inaugurated by Mohammed Yousif Al Binfalah, CEO of Bahrain International Airport Company, along with CEO of SSP EEME and Director of Business Development and Strategy, Mark Angela. SSP General Manager for Eastern Europe and the Middle East, Jorge Antonio; Ahmed Yaqoub, Chief Executive Officer of Bohindi Group. General Manager of SSP Bahrain, Thomas de Brat Guy; and Group Strategy and Business Development Director Mark Nolden.

Located in the departures area, R12 shows live sports 24/7 on screens of various sizes throughout the venue. It can accommodate 148 guests and features well-curated interiors with an industrial, vintage, and chic vibe to create a lasting impression. It also has a designated smoking room. Passengers can watch the latest sporting events and enjoy a range of food and beverage options in a relaxed and comfortable setting with stunning views of the runway while waiting for their flights. They can enjoy a variety of cooking options, as well as a wide selection of drinks.
SSP Bahrain is a joint venture between SSP, Buhindi Group and Gulf Air Holding Group. It won a contract to open 17 F&B units at BIA in 2018 as part of a 10-year master agreement with BAC.
