Bahrain hosts Gulf Red Crescent Societies Forum

Manama, December 7 (BNA): The Bahrain Red Crescent Society is hosting the second Gulf Forum for the Gulf Red Crescent Authority and Societies under the title “Humanitarian Giving” under the patronage of His Excellency Mr. Ali bin Muhammad Murad, Vice President of the Republic. from the community.

This forum will be held on December 14 and 15, where the first day is devoted to presenting working papers on volunteer work teams in crises and disasters, while the second day is devoted to holding training and rehabilitation programs for volunteers in each Gulf. The body and the assembly.

The work committees of the Society have prepared to receive the participants in the forum, in which a number of members and volunteers of the Gulf Red Crescent bodies and societies are participating, as well as local, regional and international experts in the field of relief and humanitarian work. .

This forum represents an opportunity to highlight the progress of the Kingdom of Bahrain in the field of volunteer work, and to benefit from the experiences and expertise of the Bahrain Red Crescent Society.

It is worth mentioning that at the conclusion of their fifteenth meeting, which was held in the Advisory Council of the Supreme Council of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf in Muscat, the heads of the bodies and societies of the Red Crescent in the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council. The Council adopted the strategic plan for the next five years for the bodies and societies of the Red Crescent, including eight axes centered on humanitarian and relief work and development at the regional and international levels, cooperation with relevant regional and international organizations, voluntary work, policies, and legislation. laws and regulations, in addition to the development of human resources, sources of funding, support, information, research, studies, information and awareness.
