Bahrain-Germany political and economic partnership discussed

Manama, June 29 (BNA) Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs Dr. Sheikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa held a virtual meeting with the Director General of Near East, Middle East, African and Latin American Affairs of the German Confederation. During the meeting, bilateral cooperation relations and the close political and economic partnership between Bahrain and Germany were reviewed.

The two sides discussed ways to enhance joint relations in various fields for the benefit of the two friendly countries and peoples, and follow up on coordinating positions on regional and international issues of common interest.

Dr. Sheikh Abdullah highlighted the results of the first meeting of senior officials between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the European External Action Service, which was held a week ago in Brussels.

He affirmed Bahrain’s interest in strengthening political coordination and consolidating the growing strategic partnership with Germany, as one of the most important partners in the European Union.

He highlighted the common interest in consolidating security and peace and supporting sustainable development in the region and the world.
