Bahrain exports BD357 Million Worth of Products of National Origins during January

Manama, February 26 (BNA): The Information and e-Government Authority issued the foreign trade report for the month of January, which contains data on the trade balance, imports, exports (national origin) and re-exports.

The value of imports increased by 4% to reach 465 million Bahraini dinars during January 2023, compared to 449 million Bahraini dinars for the same month of the previous year.
The top ten countries accounted for 68% of the value of imports, while the remaining countries accounted for 32%.

According to the report, China ranked first with regard to imports to Bahrain, with a total of 70 million dinars, the United Arab Emirates came second with 44 million dinars, and Brazil ranked third with 43 million dinars.

Non-agglomerated iron ores and concentrates emerged as the best product imported to Bahrain, with a total value of 54 million Bahraini dinars, while aluminum oxide came in second place with 31 million dinars, and gold ingots in third place with 16 million dinars.
The report also indicates a decrease in the value of exports of national origin by 8%, to reach 357 million dinars during January 2023, compared to 387 million dinars for the same month of the previous year.

The top ten countries in terms of the value of exports of national origin accounted for 77% of the total value, while the remaining countries accounted for 23%.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia ranked first among the countries receiving Bahraini exports of national origin, as it imported 89 million Bahraini dinars from Bahrain. The United States of America came second with 45 million dinars, and the United Arab Emirates came third with 36 million dinars.

Unworked aluminum ingots emerged as the largest exported products during January 2023 with a value of BD 133 million, agglomerated and concentrated iron ores came second with a value of BD 48 million, and unalloyed aluminum wires ranked third with a value of BD 17 million.

The total value of re-exports increased by 7% to reach 58 million Bahraini dinars during January 2023, compared to 54 million Bahraini dinars for the same month of the previous year.

The top ten countries accounted for 87% of the re-export value, while the remaining countries accounted for 13%.

The United Arab Emirates ranked first with 19 million dinars, Saudi Arabia second with 17 million dinars, and Singapore third with 3 million dinars.

Aircraft spare parts came at the top of the list of re-exported products from Bahrain, with a value of 10 million dinars, and automatic digital data processing machines came in second place, with a value of 2.1 million dinars, and gold jewelry came in third place, with a value of 1.8 million dinars.

As for the trade balance, which is considered a difference between exports and imports, it recorded a deficit of 51 million Bahraini dinars during January of 2023, compared to a deficit of 8 million Bahraini dinars for the same month of the previous year, with a growth rate of 570%. . This is negatively reflected in the value of the trade balance.
