Bahrain engineers’ role in national development hailed

Manama, October 14 (BNA) Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture Wael bin Nasser Al-Mubarak praised the role of engineers in national development and progress.

He described the Bahrain Society of Engineers as a key partner with the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Agriculture in leading major projects.

He emphasized the pivotal role of engineers over decades in the development of Bahrain, under the wise leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the government headed by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

The minister’s statement came while attending a ceremony held by the Bahrain Society of Engineers on the occasion of the Bahraini Engineer’s Day.

He planted a tree on this occasion in line with the strategy aimed at doubling the number of trees by 2035, within the Kingdom of Bahrain’s commitments to implement the goals of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP26).

The Bahrain Society of Engineers, Dr. Raeda Al-Alawi, praised the ministry’s support for all initiatives aimed at developing the agricultural sector in the Kingdom.

She stressed the society’s support for the national campaign for afforestation “Don’t Be Green” launched by Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, consort of His Majesty the King and Chair of the Advisory Council of the National Initiative for Women’s Development. agriculture sector
