Bahrain Embassy to UK marks Women’s Day

London, Dec. 7 (BNA): The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United Kingdom, Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, and his wife held a reception on the occasion of the twenty-first Bahraini Women’s Day, which falls on the first of December of each year.

The ambassador presented shields to Bahraini women working in the medical and engineering sectors in the United Kingdom, and doctoral researchers in immunology, oncology and economics, in appreciation of their efforts in supporting development in Bahrain.

Nora Mohammed Al-Jowder, a researcher at the Master of Construction Cost Management at the University of Reading, addressed the ceremony, expressing her deep thanks and gratitude to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

She also praised His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women, praising the unwavering support for the empowerment of Bahraini women.

He praised women’s steps in representing the Kingdom of Bahrain in regional and international forums and contributing to national development and progress.
