Bahrain falconers shine in UAE

Abu Dhabi, Jan. 26 (BNA): Bahraini falconers achieved outstanding achievements during the inaugural rounds of the President’s Cup for Falconry, which is reserved for citizens of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.

Falcons Mohammed Abdel Wahhab Al-Hajri won the first place through the falcon “Toufan”, which succeeded in covering the race distance in 16.669 seconds at a speed of more than 86 kilometers per hour.

After this victory, Toofan, owned by falconer Mohammed Al-Hajri, won the GCC Championships in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

The Bahrain Human Rights Team won the third place through the falcon “Hushour”, which completed the same race with a time of 17.777 seconds.

Falcons Badr Abdel Wahhab Al-Hajri also won second place in the President’s Cup for Falconry after the falcon Julmud S84 won by completing the race in 17.982 seconds.
