Manama, October 20 (BNA) The Chairman of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Khalifa, received the Egyptian Ambassador, Yasser Shaaban.
The Chairman of the Supreme Investment Council stressed the strength of the Bahraini-Egyptian relations, which enjoy the interest of the leaderships of the two countries.
He expressed his happiness at the visit of the honorable Imam of Al-Azhar, Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Ahmed Al-Tayeb, to Bahrain at the invitation of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to participate in the Bahrain Forum for Dialogue: East and West for Human Coexistence. To be held on 2-4 November.
The meeting discussed relations and cooperation between the Supreme Media Council with Al-Azhar, the Ministry of Endowments and Dar Al-Ifta.
They also reviewed topics of common interest.
The ambassador expressed his appreciation to the President of the Council for his efforts in strengthening relations.
