Manama, June 29 (BNA) Minister of Finance and National Economy Sheikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa praised the strong bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of Egypt under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. .



He praised the unwavering support of the government, headed by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for the joint strategic relations linking the two countries.


The statements of the Minister of Finance and National Economy came during a press conference held with the Egyptian Minister of Planning and Economic Development, Dr. Hala Helmy Al-Saeed, on the sidelines of President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi’s visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain.


He praised President Sisi’s visit, which will support brotherly relations and expand joint relations in various fields.


A number of agreements, memoranda of understanding and joint executive programs were signed in the fields of economy, science, technology, law, justice, logistics sector, urban development, trade and investment, in addition to tourism, education and the environment. “, He said.


He referred to the establishment of the Bahraini-Egyptian Governmental Committee for Economic, Scientific and Technological Cooperation, which aims to identify the most important common directions and priorities in the commercial, economic, scientific and technological sectors.




He said that Bahrain Holding Company “Mumtalakat” signed an agreement with Egypt’s Sovereign Fund for Investment and Development to establish a joint investment platform for direct investment in strategic and vital sectors such as food security, tourism, financial services, digital services and logistics services. services.


Dr. Al-Saeed stressed the importance of President Sisi’s visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain, as an embodiment of the depth of relations between the two brotherly countries.


She noted the consultations and discussions between the two leaders and the signing of agreements, memoranda of understanding and executive programs between the two countries in various fields.


She said that the deals will contribute to strengthening relations and raising the level of coordination in all fields. Especially in the economic, development and investment fields to achieve the aspirations of the two brotherly countries and peoples.
