Bahrain and Egypt sign 10 agreements and memoranda of understanding

Manama, June 29 (BNA) The Kingdom of Bahrain and the Arab Republic of Egypt signed 10 agreements, memoranda of understanding and joint executive programs in the fields of economy, science and technology, law, justice, logistics, urban development and trade. and investment, in addition to tourism, education and the environment.

The agreements were signed during a ceremony held in Sakhir Square, in the presence of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. Minister.


These agreements, memoranda of understanding and joint executive programs aim to enhance solid bilateral cooperation between the two brotherly countries, and support relations in a number of strategic areas.


The agreements include the deal to establish the Bahraini-Egyptian governmental committee for economic, scientific and technological cooperation, a legal and judicial cooperation protocol, a memorandum of understanding in the field of export development, and a memorandum of understanding in the field of organizing exhibitions. .


Two executive programs in the fields of education and environmental protection (2022-2024), a friendship and cooperation agreement between the Capital Governorate in the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Cairo Governorate in the Arab Republic of Egypt, and non-binding terms and conditions. A working paper was signed between the Sovereign Fund for Investment and Development in the Arab Republic of Egypt and Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company in the Kingdom of Bahrain.


Egypt was also granted the right to have sovereignty over its subscribers’ information in cloud computing centers located in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The official partner status for sea-air freight services granted to Egypt has also been activated.
