Bahrain Education Ministry wins ‘HH Shaikh Salem Al-Ali Al-Sabah Informatics Award’

Kuwait, June 27 (BNA) Education Minister Dr. Majid bin Ali Al-Nuaimi praised the unlimited support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. Minister of the Education Sector in the Kingdom, to enable the Ministry of Education to achieve many regional and international achievements.

This came during the minister’s speech while attending the award ceremony of His Highness Sheikh Salem Al-Ali Al-Sabah Informatics Award.

A ceremony was held at Bayan Palace under the patronage of the Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, a ceremony honoring the winners of the 2020 cycle of the award, in the presence of the Kuwaiti Crown Prince, His Highness Sheikh Mishaal. Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.

During the ceremony, the Bahraini Ministry of Education won the award for its educational portal (eduNET), which is a fruitful outcome of the King Hamad Schools for the Future Project and the Digital Empowerment Project, both of which were implemented based on the directives of His Majesty the King.

Dr. Al-Nuaimi praised the advanced level reached by the Bahraini-Kuwaiti brotherly relations at all levels, thanks to the directives of their leaders.

He stressed that the award recognizes the great role eduNET has played since its launch in 2015 in providing various educational materials, adding that the educational portal has contributed to providing online education for students during the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.

The Minister expressed his thanks to the State of Kuwait and those responsible for the “His Highness Sheikh Salem Al-Ali Al-Sabah Informatics Award”, wishing them further success.
