Bahrain condoles with Egypt over peacekeeping mission victims in Mali

Manama, July 6 (BNA): Bahrain offers its condolences to Egypt over the terrorist attack that targeted a logistic convoy of the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA), which resulted in the killing of two Egyptian soldiers and the serious injury of five others. .


The Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed its sympathy with Egypt, its leadership, government, people and families of the victims, wishing a speedy recovery to all the injured.


The ministry affirmed the Kingdom’s solidarity with Egypt, and its appreciation for the efforts of its armed forces in the United Nations peacekeeping forces, which helped maintain regional and international peace and security.


It reiterates its call on the international community to intensify efforts to combat extremist terrorist organizations, and to assist Mali in protecting civilians and ensuring security and stability in the country.
