Bahrain condemns terrorist attacks on places of worship in Afghanistan

Manama, June 19 (BNA) The Bahraini Foreign Ministry has expressed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s strong condemnation of the two terrorist attacks that took place in Afghanistan and targeted a mosque in the city of Kunduz in the north of the country and a Sikh temple in the capital, Kabul. As a result, a number of innocent civilians were killed and injured.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s condemnation of these criminal acts aimed at destabilizing security and intimidating safe civilians in contravention of all religious principles and moral and humanitarian values.

It also expressed the Kingdom’s solidarity with the brotherly Afghan people, and offered its sincere condolences to the families of the victims, wishing a speedy recovery to all the injured.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs renewed its call for the need to intensify international efforts to eliminate extremist terrorist organizations, dry up their financial and intellectual resources, and work together to spread a culture of peace and tolerance.
