Manama, March 23 (BNA): The Kingdom of Bahrain joins the world today in celebrating Christmas World Meteorological Day Which is celebrated on March 23 of each year, which is the date of the establishment of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) in 1950. The organization declares every year a slogan for the World Meteorological Day.
This year’s theme, “The Future of Weather, Climate and Water Through Generations,” highlights the importance of protecting the environment and preserving the planet’s atmosphere. It also stresses the urgent need to combat climate change, which is one of the biggest challenges at present.
The organization also highlights past achievements, current progress and future capabilities of the meteorological community and ways to address challenges.
