The national team beat Iraq 34-31 in the twentieth edition of the Asian Championship, to book a place in the World Cup in Bahrain for the sixth time in the history of handball.
Bahrain also qualified for the semi-finals of the Asian Handball Championship hosted by Dammam in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia.
