Bahrain attends GCC undersecretaries’ committee meeting

Riyadh, May 9 (BNA) A Bahraini delegation attended the 65th meeting of the committee of undersecretaries of the ministries of finance in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, which was held today at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council in the city of Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance and National Economy, Yousef Abdullah Hammoud, headed the delegation of the Kingdom of Bahrain in the preparatory session, before the 116th meeting of the Financial and Economic Cooperation Committee.

The meeting was also attended by the Assistant Undersecretary for Economic Affairs and Development of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf and the Undersecretaries of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, representatives of the member states.

The delegations reviewed financial and economic decisions and ways to enhance joint cooperation and follow-up on the program to achieve economic unity among the GCC countries by 2025, as well as the recommendations and initiatives of the Group of Twenty in the financial track.

They also discussed the recommendations made by the Committee of Governors of Monetary Institutions and Central Banks, the Committee of Presidents, the Customs Union Authority in the GCC states, the Gulf Common Market Committee, and a number of topics on the agenda.
