Manama, August 4 (BNA) The Bahrain General Index closed today at 1900.31 points, recording an increase of 3.88 points over the previous close.
This increase is attributed to the rise in the telecommunications services sector, the private sector for consumers, and the financial sector.
The Bahrain Islamic Index closed at 662.58 points, recording an increase of 0.52 points from the previous close.
The results indicated that 54 transactions were made on equity with a volume of 1,690,882 with a value of 397,731 Bahraini dinars.
Investors mainly trade in the financial sector, representing 45.16% of the total value of traded securities.
