Manama, September 14 (BNA): Bahrain General Index closed at 1673.55 points, recording an increase of 5.26 points over the previous close.
This increase is attributed to the rise in the telecommunication services sector, the financial sector and the materials sector.
Bahrain Islamic Index closed at 666.81 points, recording a decrease of 0.55 points from the previous close.
The results indicated that 85 transactions were made on equity with a volume of 2,879,936, with a value of BD 578,607.
Investors mainly trade in the materials sector with 48.32% of the total value of traded securities.
