Manama, August 11 (BNA): The Bahrain General Index closed today at 1,897.70 points, recording an increase of 16.39 points over the previous close.
This increase came as a result of the rise in the financial and industrial sector.
The Bahrain Islamic Index closed at 668.75 points, recording a decrease of 0.41 points from the previous close.
The results indicated that 56 transactions were made on equity with a volume of 2,202,249, with a value of BD 554,664.
Investors mainly trade in the financial sector, representing 52.28% of the total value of traded securities.
