BACA’s preparations are underway to celebrate Bahrain National Theatre’s 10th anniversary in November

Manama, July 13 (BNA) Under the slogan “Golden Jubilee” dedicated to celebrating the 50th anniversary of Bahrain’s cultural achievements, the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) decided to organize festive events to celebrate the tenth anniversary of Bahrain’s national foundation. stage.


In order to make this special date and celebrate the occasion, BACA is working in close consultation and cooperation with the Italian International Consultant for Theater Affairs, Francesca Campagna. In fact, BACA will officially announce the details of the 10th anniversary celebration.


The Bahrain National Theater was inaugurated on November 12, 2012, when Manama was celebrated as the capital of Arab culture, as one of the “Investment in Culture” projects, and under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.


Over the past decade, the Bahrain National Theater has hosted a number of international performances by some of the world’s most prominent artists, and the international opera ballet, which has contributed to the strengthening of the cultural scene and the promotion of Bahrain as a fortress and a cultural and urban production center. Indeed, the Bahrain National Theater is the culmination of the Kingdom’s long-standing efforts in enriching and developing the local culture for many decades, as evidenced by a rich history of achievements.


World-renowned artistic director and advisor to cultural institutions, Francesca Campagna, known for her deep knowledge of opera and ability to extend the reach of outstanding artists and institutions to new audiences, has, over the years, gained extensive experience and knowledge in the field of opera arts. Francesca Campana got her start in Italian opera with roles in the Fondazione Teatro Massimo in her native Palermo. She has worked in more than 300 productions over 12 years with famous artists such as Franco Zeffirelli, Graham Vick, Claudio Abbado and Gustavo Dudamel. Her subsequent work establishing the Royal Opera House Muscat established the first opera house in the Middle East, and she has been widely recognized for the artistic integrity and cultural diversity of her programming.
