Your role and responsibilities
As a Brand Integration Technical Specialist, the candidate will represent IBM as a technical sales consultant for our clients and as a technical sales lead for IBM sales teams.

A successful IBM Integration Technical Sales Professional will have a deep understanding of IBM’s integration portfolio, products, offerings, and services including IBM MQ, IBM Aspera, IBM DataPower, IBM Application Connect, IBM API Connect, IBM WebSphere/Liberty, Confluent Platform/Apache Kafka, and platform Cloud Pack for Integration. The successful candidate will also possess a strong business acumen within the application integration field
The Technical Specialist will learn their clients’ business requirements, technical requirements and competitive landscape and apply their technical knowledge and expertise to offer new solutions to their specific clients. The Technical Specialist will be responsible for collaborating with IBM sales teams to define, design and detail the technical aspects and feasibility of proposed solutions, providing technical input on developing customer planning objectives including resource requirements and developing strategic approaches for their customer group. The Technical Specialist will lead and deliver client-facing whiteboard sessions, product demonstrations, technical education, and proof-of-concept activities. The Technical Specialist will also assist the IBM sales team in defining the value proposition of our solutions with customers.

Below are some of the key job responsibilities and role assignments that a Brand Technical Specialist will be required to perform. This is not an exhaustive list.
* Works with IBM sales counterparts to help guide customers through their cloud and knowledge strategies and adoption journey.
* Actively identifies, develops and advances integration of sales opportunities within assigned territories and customer segments.
* Provides strategic direction and leadership to customer decision makers associated with IBM’s proposed cloud solutions that support the transformation of customers’ business and journey to the cloud agenda.
* Provide pre-sales briefings, solution workshops, product demos, technical education, and supporting proof of concept exercises while demonstrating the business value of our Hybrid Cloud Integration solutions.
* Understands IBM’s AI Automation viewpoint for enterprise integration solutions, the full landscape, and market trends, effectively positioning IBM’s AI Automation’s unique value proposition.
Actively participate in, support and enable the IBM Business Partner ecosystem in the IBMs Integration suite of solutions.
* Develop industry-specific reusable assets, architectural styles, informational materials, and product demonstrations.
* Collaborates with other internal IBM teams and stakeholders to achieve unparalleled customer satisfaction and customer adoption or the IBM integration portfolio.
* Develop, nurture and maintain deep technical account relationships with client stakeholders and leaders.
* Develop and maintain a deep understanding of specific industry characteristics, business challenges, market trends and business operations (eg financial services, public sector or retail to name a few).
Collaborates with IBM sales teams to define, design, scale and present the technical aspects and feasibility of proposed client solutions.
* Supports customer escalation, sharing best practices, designing solutions, and answering technical questions throughout the sales process in order to identify, qualify and deliver sales.

Technical and professional experience required
* 3 years of technical experience with IBM Hybrid Cloud Integration Software or equivalent.
* Possess both architect and/or hands-on technical skills.
* Ability to identify and visualize opportunities.
* Ability to effectively demonstrate and demonstrate solutions/technologies in a client facing scenario.
* Work with fewer high-level professionals and mentor them in integration solutions.

Technical and professional experience preferred
* Experience specific solution in the Hybrid Cloud Integration Portfolio.
* Red Hat OpenShift experience, certification or certification.
* Foundational knowledge of Apache Kafka and/or the Kafka Confluent platform.
* Foundational knowledge of industry standard Dev/Sec/Ops best practices and tools.
* 3 years experience in a technical role for customer facing, enterprise technology sales, consulting services or equivalent.
* Experience level industry knowledge. Examples include, but are not limited to: financial services, retail, public sector, or telecommunications.
* Ability to illustrate business models, and the value of our offerings.
* Willingness to learn other IBM Automation portfolio solutions. For example, AIOpps applications,
* WebSphere/Liberty wallet or other Cloud Packs, etc.
