Manama, March 17 (BNA) The Assistant Chief of Public Security for Operations and Training Affairs received Major General Dr. Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Commander of the US Naval Forces Central Command and Commander of the US Fifth Fleet. (C5F), Admiral Brad Cooper. The accompanying delegation and Coast Guard Commander Brigadier Jassem Al-Ghatam attended.
The Assistant Chief of Public Security welcomed the American official, stressing the importance of security cooperation and coordination. During the meeting, the tasks of the Coast Guard and its role in protecting the territorial waters were reviewed.
The US official visited the Naval Operations Center and the two sides reviewed issues of common interest.
