Bali, March 23 (BNA) The Speaker of the Arab House of Representatives, Adel Abdul Rahman Al-Asumi, met with the Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Puan Mahrani, during his participation in the 144th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union.
The meeting discussed the possibility of organizing parliamentary forums that support the issues of Arab and Islamic countries and developing countries in general.
Al-Asumi affirmed Parliament’s support for Indonesia’s presidency of the G20 to recover from the pandemic and achieve more sustainable economic management.
He expressed the importance of strengthening Arab-Asian relations and parliamentary cooperation.
Mahrani stressed that Indonesia enjoys strong relations with all Arab countries in all fields, including the parliamentary field, expressing keenness to strengthen them.
