Ambassador hails Bahrain-US strategic partnership

Washington, April 28 (BNA): The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United States, Shaikh Abdullah bin Rashid Al Khalifa, participated in a round table session with the Board of Directors of the Safe America Council.

He praised the strategic partnership of the long-standing bilateral relations, pointing to the steadily growing relations, especially in the field of enhancing security, peace and stability in the region, in which the United States of America plays a prominent role.

The ambassador highlighted the economic and trade relations, noting the free trade agreement and the establishment of a US free trade zone in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

He highlighted the commercial opportunities within the development process led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, pointing to the positive outcome of Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030.

In his speech to the session, he highlighted the importance of developments in the Middle East, which have a profound impact on global peace and security and energy markets.

He urged continued international support for the region, highlighting the political, economic, security and social results of the Abraham Accords.

He praised the United States’ support for expanding relations, pointing to a bill passed by the US House of Representatives to encourage and strengthen the Abrahamic Accords.

The ambassador stressed the need to continue to support and push the success of the Abraham Accords to achieve a more prosperous and stable future.

The Board of Directors of the Safe America Council praised the bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United States of America, noting the presence of the US Fifth Fleet in the Kingdom.

They highlighted Bahrain’s important role in supporting security and peace in the Middle East, by promoting the principles of the Abraham Accords and participating in the historic Negev Summit, which confirms the importance of multilateral cooperation.
