Alba wins RoSPA Award for Nine Consecutive Years

Manama, April 18 (BNA) Aluminum Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba), the world’s largest aluminum smelter outside of China, was awarded the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) Gold Medal for the ninth consecutive year for its outstanding health and safety performance during the 2021 calendar year.


“Alba’s strong safety culture has been nurtured by over 50 years of dedication, and by empowering our employees and contractors at every level of the organization,” said Alba CEO Ali Al Baqali.


Utilizing our motto “Safety First, Safety Always, Safety At All Times”, has led us to achieve more than 24 million safe working hours to date.


And with the 10th consecutive year, we aspire to raise the bar for the RoSPA President’s Award, which is given to organizations that have achieved 10-14 consecutive Gold Awards.”


Companies that receive the RoSPA Award are recognized as world leaders in health and safety practices. Each year, nearly 2,000 entrants compete for the highest possible honor at the UK’s longest-running health and safety industry awards.
