Manama, October 24 (BNA) Al-Ettifaq defeated Al-Shabab 25-24 in the fifth round of the Khalid Bin Hamad Handball League.
Al Shabab led by 14-13 at the end of the first half of the match, which was held at the Bahrain Handball Association (BHA) stadium in Umm Al Hassam.
Al-Ittifaq collects 11 points with this victory, compared to 9 points for Al-Shabab, who suffered their third defeat this season.
Samahij defeated Al-Dair 27-25, while Bahrain beat Bahrain 37-21. In two other matches held last Friday, Al-Tadamon defeated Al-Ahly 23-20 and Tubli tied Bahrain 30-30.
