As a Cloud Engineer or ACE, you work closely with the sales representative on a select number of customers, providing technical leadership and support in order to convince the customer of the value of Oracle Cloud Technologies and ensure the customer gets the best results from their investment.
This role will work with Sales Team (Oracle Digital/MEA/NorthEast/South/West) and our Clients (Field/SMB) in the XYZ Region (Country/Cluster Name).

Work summary
Customer Alignment The ACE role is responsible for the customer lifecycle from project concept to usage and expansion within the customer.
Drives alignment with the cloud salesperson, working as a team within the customer to define/lead the sales strategy, finding and winning new workloads, and technical due diligence to achieve a “tech win”
Maintains awareness of the client’s infrastructure and is highly technical – advises on new workloads – i.e. relocation and improvement
Coordinates the technical/skill teams required to ensure our technology drives customer business results and sustainable use/growth
– Builds a consumption plan for the customer and with him
Works with the Cloud Certification Manager to ensure validation of customer adoption and customer experience
Roles and Responsibilities
– ACE will coordinate all technical activities in the account and is always in the lead for pre-sales activities.
Actively participate in the Oracle account team in defining the account strategy, executing and driving consumption growth.
Responsible for the successful experience of customers (clients) in their territory.
Understands the overall customer portfolio, IT and business priorities and develops a solution that meets customer needs.
Drive effectiveness and impact in the way we engage with clients, and become a trusted client advisor.
Inform customers/expectations about emerging Oracle technologies and how they will create value and competitive differentiation
Delivers Oracle technology that demonstrates deep understanding of infrastructure, security, and integration capabilities.
Acts as a single point of contact for the customer for aspects related to cloud engineering
Engage the Oracle Cloud technology team, lead the virtual team to support solution creation, architecture design, POC delivery, and custom technical workshops during the sales cycle.
Leads activities and teams to help define Oracle’s Cloud value and consistently meet customer expectations.
Skills Specifications
Extensive technical experience in cloud infrastructure and platform solutions along with a solid understanding of cloud architecture. Knowledge of Oracle platform services and cloud infrastructure will be a strong advantage.
Demonstrates leadership ability including the ability to delegate activities and engage appropriate teams/skill sets.
Clearly able to articulate cloud offerings in the market and be able to discuss architectures
Excellent communication and presentation skills for a group that is highly comfortable speaking across all levels of management (eg IT management, architects, administrators, executives).
Experience in understanding complex customer ecosystems with the ability to translate customer needs into practical solutions
Familiar with 3rd party frameworks and Oracle Architecture (eg TOGAF, ECal)
– High level of business understanding
Intelligence to identify key trends and visions and use them to lead decision-making and implementation within the client
Experience in engaging and influencing stakeholders.
Ability to build relationships for business development. Working as a partner for our customers, not just a seller.
