Zain Bahrain organises third edition of e-Waste School Competition

Manama, June 5 (BNA): Zain Bahrain organized the closing ceremony of the third national competition for the e-waste school, under the auspices of Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak bin Dinah, Minister of Oil and Environment and Special Envoy for Climate Affairs.

The event was attended by the Governor of the Capital, Sheikh Rashid bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, a number of officials and experts in environmental fields, and principals of the participating schools.

The celebration was held in conjunction with Bahrain’s celebration of World Environment Day, which falls on the fifth of June of each year.

Acting Director of Monitoring and Environmental Protection at the Supreme Council for the Environment, Eng. Lama Al Mahrous also stressed the importance of the competition’s role in raising environmental awareness among students regarding the difficult and growing challenge of e-waste and its serious impact on the environment and people’s health.
