Young Bahraini women celebrate International Women’s Day with bold achievements

Manama, March 9 (BNA): With the Kingdom of Bahrain joining the world to celebrate International Women’s Day, the achievements of some young Bahraini women are being highlighted.

Bahraini women have a long history of outstanding achievements and a long list of success stories. They are overtly ambitious and always ready to go the extra mile and confidently take on the pivotal roles that previous generations have taken on.

The pursuit of continued progress and achievement has the full support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of His Majesty the King and President. With 75% of the members representing HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, women have also been at the forefront of Team Bahrain’s response to the pandemic.

The National Action Charter, the Constitution, the Supreme Council for Women and the Economic Vision of the Kingdom of Bahrain 2030 were all milestones in enhancing the status of women in the Kingdom.

The Supreme Council for Women oversaw gender equality, equal opportunities, and women’s participation in a variety of fields for the advancement of Bahraini women at the national and international levels.

Many Bahraini women have been great pioneers who have made successful achievements and thrived over the years in various fields paving their way to a vibrant society by breaking traditional stereotypes and achieving both national and international goals.

Shaikha Hessa Humood Al Khalifa is a wonderful and inspiring example of Bahraini women who are determined in the field of cooking and entrepreneurship.

She is an avid food and travel blogger who has traveled the world bringing the best experiences home.

In the world of design and fashion, many Bahraini designers have made their mark globally with their talent and unique design.

Noor Mohsen is another great example of a successful Bahraini woman. She is an International Gemological Institute (IGI) certified jewelry designer.

She inherited her interest in jewelry from her ancestors who are jewelers and grew up from an early age with a passion for art and design.

Noor has participated in many exhibitions and is grateful to the various ministries, organizations and embassies in Bahrain throughout her successful journey for their great encouragement.

Being the first Bahraini designer to work for Louis Vuitton, she has impressively represented Bahraini youth who have proven their competence and capabilities globally in various fields. This distinction has contributed to Bahraini youth becoming the focus of attention of various international institutions.

She praised the support of the Minister of Youth Affairs, Rawan bint Najeeb Al-Tawfiqi, and her eagerness to stand by Bahrain’s youth in their journey to achieve more honor and distinction for the nation in various fields.

Bahraini designer Abu Dhabiya Al Majed’s passion for flowers and the celebration of special moments made her pursue her passion and create “Events by Abu Dhabiya”.
