World Series of Darts to debut in Bahrain in January 2023

Manama, September 26 (BNA) The Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) and sports promotion company CBX have teamed up with Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) to present the World Darts Championship in Bahrain for the first time ever.

From January 12 to 13, 2023, the Bahrain International Circuit will host the Bahrain Darts Masters Championship, which is part of the World Tour of the world’s best darts players. Bahrain will host the first event of the 2023 World Championship, as part of the global calendar announced today by the PDC. BIC and CBX have signed a multi-year agreement with PDC, which will bring the World Darts Championships to Bahrain on an annual basis.

PDC darts events are broadcast in over 185 countries, reaching a global audience of over 200 million people, and darts is the second most watched sport in the UK after football. The sport is best known for hosting the World Archery Championships, which attracts a crowd of over 90,000 to Alexandra Palace in the UK each year throughout the Christmas and New Year period.

The Bahrain Darts Masters 2023 will feature two days of competition, with eight top players – set to include world champion Peter Wright and world number one Gerwin Price – with eight regional representatives, including Bahrain’s top players, over two days. The event will be organized for a live audience in a specially designed format in the entertainment dome of the Bahrain Information Center and will also be broadcast live to a global audience.

Tickets for this limited-capacity event will go on sale later in the year, and fans are encouraged to register now at bahraingp.com for the latest information on tickets and the event.
