Women in Aviation Bahrain Chapter unveiled during BIAS 2022

Manama, November 11 (BNA) The CEO of Bahrain Airport Company (BAC) Mohammed Yousef Al-Binfalah announced the establishment of the Bahrain Women’s Aviation Branch during the Bahrain International Airshow 2022.

The chapter will provide a platform for collaboration, helping to raise awareness of women’s contributions to the aviation sector, highlight career opportunities, and promote principles of gender equality.

The current board is made up of men and women from organizations in the aviation industry who have been appointed temporarily to help set up the branch.

A new president and new board members will be elected and membership is open to both men and women in the aviation industry.

“The establishment of the Bahrain branch for Women in Aviation is a milestone in our industry. “Women continue to play a critical role in the development of aviation in the Kingdom, and there is an urgent need for a dedicated branch that highlights their achievements and creates new opportunities for them to join our industry or advance their careers,” Al-Binfalah said.

“BAC has always championed the principles of gender equality and often appreciates and celebrates the contributions our team members have made to our success. We look forward to working with the branch in furthering its goals, which are in line with the Supreme Council for Women’s 2013-22 National Plan for the Advancement of Bahraini Women.”

Branch members can attend the ordinary general assembly meetings, share their experiences and vision on the topics on its agenda, and vote on all the issues presented.
