Winning humanitarian initiatives honoured

Manama, Dec. 14 (BNA): The Royal Humanitarian Foundation today held the final stage of the “Humanitarian Initiatives” competition, which was launched recently to attract distinguished ideas in the field of humanitarian work.

Six out of 150 teams qualified for the context final. These included “Absher”, “Donate to Availability”, “I Hand”, “Accessible Beaches”, “Sanad” and “Drug Store”.

The jury, chaired by the Executive Director of Almoayyed Contracting Group, Hala Farouk Almoayyed, evaluated the presentations made by the six finalists.

The chairperson of the jury made a statement explaining the criteria adopted by the jury for evaluating the six initiatives. She also praised the idea of ​​the competition and the quality of the participating initiatives.

“Sanad” won the first place (2000 BHD), while “I Hand” and “Al Shatee Al Misarah” came in the second place (1500 BHD) and the third (1000 BHD), respectively. The remaining three initiatives were awarded 500 Bahraini Dinars.

The Secretary-General of Qatar Charity, Dr. Mustafa Al-Sayed Al-Amin, presented shields and gifts to the winning initiatives, and thanked all the participants.

He also honored the Director of Private Banking Relations at Ahli United Bank, Bassam Abdul Rahman Al-Tatan, who announced that the American University of Beirut will donate 10,000 Bahraini dinars to support the winning initiatives, under the supervision of the Rescue Fund.
