Voters urged to participate effectively in runoff elections

Manama, Nov. 18 (BNA): Counselor Nawaf Abdullah Hamzah, Chairman of the Legislation and Legal Opinion Authority and Executive Director of the 2022 Elections, confirmed that all preparations have been completed for the run-off elections tomorrow, which will be held within the framework of the total elections. Judicial supervision, urging voters to actively participate in the ballot.

Polling stations will open their doors tomorrow in 34 electoral districts and 23 municipal districts from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm.

Six parliamentary candidates and seven municipalities achieved landslide victories during the first round of the 2022 elections, and 73% of eligible voters participated in them, according to figures published by the Supreme Committee to Supervise Elections Integrity.

Run-off seats will be contested between the top two candidates from each constituency in which no one has achieved a 50% victory.

It is noteworthy that the run-off for the parliamentary elections began, on Tuesday, November 15, for voters residing abroad.
