Charterhouse is currently running a search for one of our banking clients who are in the process of seeking the appointment of a Vice President (VP) for Financial Analysis. Based on their position in the DIFC, this role should be largely oriented towards financial support and control across their business and coverage within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).
The Vice President will take responsibility across a broad role taking ownership of the full portion of the accounting, reporting and analysis across this process that spans across the brokerage, equity and investment banking units. This Vice President will also have ownership of all of the Saudi Arabia Group’s accounting, regulatory and tax reporting, managing all relationship points associated with these files and working with all audit partners to manage the termination of both accounts and any required settlement and subsequent transfer rates. Concurrently, the Vice President will also be involved in any broker office and/or product control functions; Where all profit and loss activities are completed for business review purposes along with the completion of an accurate, feedback-based variance analysis. Given the nature of the regional team formation; The client will also look for a candidate who can be highly involved in any ad hoc project work, across legal entities, and be linked to financial reporting and control policies.
The client will be looking to hire a Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CPA) with at least 8 years of experience within the prevailing financial control and/or product control environment of a banking and/or financial services organisation. The successful candidate should be required to demonstrate a strong Excel skill set (macros and VBA tools) along with an appreciation of strong technical accounting processes linking to GAAP & IFRS principles. The candidate should be well versed in the areas of liquidity risk, capital reporting and regulatory frameworks; To ensure robust reporting capabilities both internally and externally.
The nature of the Saudi market also means that the client will be looking to hire a Saudi national in this role, and this is closely related to tax and CMA interaction and any translation required in the financial statements and comments. Finally, this position will require strong, clear and decisive applicants; To ensure that this complex role can be fulfilled while managing the remote and international hierarchy and any team supervision.
