Manama, August 2 (BNA) The Bahrain Institute of Pearls and Gemstones (Danat) received US Ambassador to Bahrain Stephen C. Bundy.
The meeting discussed strengthening cooperation between Bahrain and the United States in exchanging experiences in the field of research, the environment and capacity building in the pearl and gemstone industry, which contributes to strengthening bilateral trade relations.
The Danat team presented the institute’s initiatives as part of Bahrain’s strategy to boost the pearling industry in the Kingdom. In addition to its role in enhancing Bahrain’s reputation as a leading center in the field of pearls and precious stones, and its continuous efforts to promote Bahrain’s pearl heritage and a sustainable marine environment.
Ambassador Bundy toured the institute and saw Dannatt’s work in terms of research, educational programs and other activities.
