University of Bahrain holds graduation ceremony

Manama, Jan. 19 (BNA): The twenty-fourth batch of graduates of the University of Bahrain received their certificates today, during a ceremony held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. .


The ceremony was attended by the Minister of Education and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Higher Education Council, Dr. Muhammad bin Mubarak Juma, which was held on the campus of the University of Bahrain in Sakhir.


In a speech delivered at the ceremony, Dr. Juma praised His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister for their patronage and support for the educational system in the Kingdom of Bahrain.


He praised the sponsorship of His Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the ceremony, during which more than 11,000 graduates (class of 2017-2022) graduated and entered the real world.


He praised the university’s efforts to integrate new academic programs, keep abreast of global changes, meet the requirements of the labor market and national priorities, and benefit from international expertise and obtain accreditation.


The minister also congratulated the graduates, wishing them success in their future lives, and praised the efforts of the administration and the academic and administrative staff at the University of Bahrain.


The President of the University of Bahrain, Dr. Jawaher bint Shaheen Al-Madhahki, also delivered a speech at the ceremony, praising the patronage and support of His Majesty the King and the directives of His Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

She highlighted the university’s strategy 2023-2026 to continue strengthening academic programs to avoid scientific and technical tensions and to enhance its position in the region and the world.


During the graduation ceremony, a video was shown highlighting the beginnings of the university and its steady academic development.


Then the Minister and the President of the University of Bahrain honored the outstanding students and awarded them special prizes bearing the names of Arab innovators and scientists. They also reward graduate students.


The university will hold 20 graduation ceremonies from January 19 to January 29, based on two ceremonies per day, one in the morning and one in the evening.


Today, 369 graduates were honored at the opening ceremony, 74 of whom are distinguished graduates, and 295 graduates at the postgraduate level.
