UNESCO announces winners of UNESCO-King Hamad Prize for the Use of Information and Communication Technologies in Education

Paris, June 17 (BNA): The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) announced the winners of the thirteenth session of the UNESCO King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa Prize for the Use of Information and Communication Technology in Education. year 2021.


The results were agreed by the Director-General of UNESCO, Audrey Azoulay, in line with the recommendation of the jury. “Inclusive Education Initiatives for All”, presented by the Central Institute of Educational Technology, National Council for Educational Research and Training in India, and “Ubongo: Africa’s Largest Digital Classroom”, presented by the Ubongo Foundation in Tanzania, 2021 edition of the award titled “ Using technology to enable inclusive, crisis-resistant learning systems.


The winners were chosen from among 111 nominations submitted by 58 UNESCO Member States and 8 NGOs, in line with the recommendation of an international jury comprising international educators from around the world.
