Nouakchott, March 6 (BNA): Two prison guards were killed in an exchange of fire with terrorists escaping from the central prison in Nouakchott, the Mauritanian News Agency reported.
The agency said, quoting a statement issued by the Ministry of Interior, that two other guards were wounded in the escape on Sunday evening.
A manhunt was launched immediately after the escape and attack to recapture the terrorists, and the public was asked to help recapture them.
