Two Bahraini teachers qualify to the second stage of Mohammed bin Zayed Award

Manama, Nov. 28 (BNA): Two Bahraini teachers qualified for the second stage of the fourth round of the Mohamed bin Zayed Award for Best Teacher. The teacher at Al-Ahlia Private School, Zainab Saeed Salman, and Al-Qadisiyah Primary School for Girls, Kawthar Hamza Jaafar, was honored during a ceremony held under the auspices of the Minister of Education, Dr. Muhammad bin Mubarak Juma.

The Mohammed bin Zayed Award for Best Teacher was attended by the Secretary-General, Dr. Hamad Ahmed Al Darmaki, the representative of the UAE Embassy, ​​Mansour Mohammed Al Juwaid, and other officials in the Ministry Hall in Isa Town.

The Ministry of Education hosted today’s ceremony in cooperation with the Mohamed bin Zayed Award for Best Teacher. The coordinators responsible for the award in the Kingdom of Bahrain were also honored.

In a speech delivered at the ceremony, Dr. Jumaa wished the candidates success in the upcoming stages, stressing the importance of education in promoting creativity in education and honoring distinguished teachers.

He praised the royal support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to support the education sector, following the follow-up of His Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

Dr. Al Darmaki praised the Ministry’s support for the award, which reflects the wise vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, to honor distinguished teachers.

He pointed out that the 2022 edition of the award has witnessed changes with regard to criteria, objectives, evaluation procedures, nomination requirements, and target countries.

He announced that 13 Arab and foreign countries will participate in the 2022 edition of the Mohamed bin Zayed Award for Best Teacher.

The assessment is based on five criteria: excellence in achievement, creativity, innovation, development, sustainable education, positive citizenship, loyalty, national belonging, and community and professional leadership.
