Twelve concepts qualified for the final stage of the Fikra competition

Manama, Jan. 24 (BNA): 12 concepts qualified for the final stage of the fifth edition of the Government Innovation Competition (Fikra).

Over the past two days, 40 concepts have been evaluated. The participants submitted their proposals to four committees of experts and specialists. Each team is given three minutes to present before their designated committee.

After a meeting of expert and specialist committees, twelve ideas were selected for the final stage of the idea competition. The selected concepts are:

1. Mashatel from Hamad Ali Abdullah Issa, Sheikh Mohammed Hamad Mohammed Abdullah Al Khalifa, and Hessa Barakat Abdullah Al-Binali from the Ministry of Interior.

2 – The Legislative Laboratory Abdulaziz Abdullah Rashid Abdullah Al-Mawadda from the Legislation and Legal Opinion Authority.

3. Knowledge exchange platform (Drain me) Abeer Ali Moftah Jawhar from the Ministry of Information Affairs.

4. Traveling Ambassadors: Fatima Abdullah Fares Al Dhaen from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

5. Evaluation of 360 Teachers by Noura Ibrahim Rashid Al-Jowder, Sheikha Sanad Ibrahim Sanad Ali Al-Fadala, Muhammad Abdul-Nabi Salman Al-Awainati, and Latifa Khalid Juma Ibrahim Juma Al-Dawy, from the Ministry of Education.

6. The National Statistical Repository by Dr. Onas Mirza Habib Mahmoud from government hospitals and Dr. Amin Abdul Karim Abdul Reda Al-Saati from the Supreme Council of Health.

7. Bahrain Carousel: A Circular Economy Initiative to Enable Industrial Symbiosis and Turn Waste into Added Value, by Syed Ali Majid Jassim Alawi Kazim, from the Prime Minister’s Court.

8. Bahrain Memory by Dr. Yousef Mohamed Ismail from the Ministry of Information Affairs.

9. The National Platform for Fastrack Service, Reem Ahmed Mohamed Al-Musallam, from the Survey and Land Registration Bureau (SLRB.)

10. Motorcycle ambulance (rapid responder) for Fayez Bassam Al Shamekh Fayez Al Shamekh of the Bahrain Defense Force.

11. Green Plastics by Saeed Yusef Ali Muhammad Siwar, and Sadiq Salah Hassan Rahma from the Supreme Council for the Environment.

12. Maintenance trainee to Dr. Noha Jamal Mohammed Al-Zayani from the University of Bahrain.

Concepts qualified for the final stage of the competition will be presented to a jury consisting of a group of ministers who will select the most successful ideas and announce the winner in a “public vote”.

Fikra aims to enrich the culture of innovation in the public sector and enhance government services to meet the needs of citizens and residents in Bahrain.
