Türkiye votes in runoff election

Ankara, May 28 (BNA): The Turks began voting on Sunday in the presidential run-off that may see Recep Tayyip Erdogan extend his rule for a third decade.

Erdogan defied the polls with a nearly five-point lead over Kemal Kilicdaroglu in the first round on May 14.

Voting started at 8:00 am (0500 GMT) and will end at 5:00 pm (1400 GMT). Reuters reported that the result is expected to begin to clear by early evening.
