Turkish city names avenue after HM the King

Manama, Mar. 25 (BNA): The Turkish city of Al-Bustan in Kahramanmaraş opened a street called “Bahrain King Street”.


On this occasion, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, expressed his deepest congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for the well-deserved appreciation by the sisterly Republic of Turkey. In appreciation of the royal efforts and directives to deliver relief aid to those affected by the devastating earthquake that struck the country, based on the distinguished Bahraini-Turkish fraternal relations.


He expressed his appreciation for the great support that the Royal Humanitarian Foundation receives from the government under the leadership of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, stressing that the Fund is honored to implement the royal directives.


The Secretary-General of Qatar Charity, Dr. Mustafa Al-Sayed, extended his sincere congratulations to His Majesty the King on this appreciation from the brothers in Turkey, in appreciation of the tremendous humanitarian efforts made by His Majesty the King in serving the brothers and the afflicted in various circumstances.


He highly valued the government’s support under the leadership of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, as well as His Highness Sheikh Nasser’s interest and leadership in the work of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation.


Dr. Mustafa Al-Sayed explained that the “Bahrain King Street” is located in a strategic location in the city of Al-Bustan, and was subjected to violent tremors as a result of the huge devastating earthquake. Therefore, His Majesty the King’s directives were issued to extend a helping hand to those affected, ease their pain, heal their wounds, and perpetuate this.

He pointed out that the street was named after the King of Bahrain in memory of the great humanitarian stances of His Majesty the King towards the brothers in Turkey.


Dr. Al-Sayed said that in implementation of the directives of His Majesty the King to the Health Care Corporation, led by His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, to deliver urgent relief aid to those affected by the earthquake that struck Turkey, and after the support of the government led by His Highness the Crown Prince. As the Prime Minister, the Reproductive Health Foundation has implemented several initiatives to support earthquake victims.


The initiatives include carrying out field visits to the affected areas to meet those affected and determine their needs, and sending four shipments of relief aid containing medicines, medical supplies, tents and food, in addition to sending a search and rescue team from the Royal Guard for evacuation. He said, save the wounded.


He added that an agreement was signed with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and similar agreements with the Turkish Red Crescent and the Turkish Foreign Economic Relations Council (DEiK) to provide support to those affected by the earthquake and to establish some educational and health relief.
