Manama, Dec. 12 (BNA): Minister of Transport and Communications, Mohammed bin Thamer Al-Kaabi, stressed the importance of strengthening international cooperation and coordination to develop the telecommunications sector. He praised the role of the International Telecommunication Union in harnessing international efforts and exchanging experiences.
This came during the minister’s speech while receiving the regional representative of the International Telecommunication Union, Director of the International Telecommunication Union’s regional office for Arab countries in Cairo, Adel Muhammad Darwish.
They discussed ways to enhance cooperation between Bahrain and the International Telecommunication Union, and reviewed future projects in the telecommunications sector.
The regional representative of the International Telecommunication Union praised the efforts of the Ministry of Transport and Communications to consolidate the Kingdom’s position in the telecommunications sector. He stressed the keenness of the International Telecommunication Union to enhance cooperation between the two sides to improve services.
