Transportation Minister discusses cooperation with Indian counterpart

New Delhi, March 14 (BNA): Minister of Transport and Communications, Muhammad bin Thamer Al-Kaabi, held a meeting with the Indian Minister of Railways, Communications, Electronics and Information Technology and discussed joint cooperation.

During the meeting, the minister was briefed on Indian railway and metro projects in India, stressing the importance of benefiting from its expertise in implementing metro and railway projects in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

He affirmed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s keenness to expand the scope of joint cooperation with the Republic of India, especially in the transport and communications sectors.

The meeting was attended by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to India, Abdulrahman Mohammed Al-Qaoud, and a number of officials.
