Our primary business is due diligence, evaluating the target company’s financial resources and business prospects, identifying and reporting opportunities, risks, sensitivities, and potential mitigations to our clients, their banks, investors and other parties.

You will analyze the financial and operating results of the companies targeted for sale by reviewing financial information and participating in interviews with management.
You will function effectively as a team member by demonstrating your commitment to quality, sharing responsibility, providing support, maintaining communication, and updating senior team members on progress.
You will also help create a positive learning culture for other team members and support their development.
As part of your role in the broader team, you will have a role to play in other team initiatives – eg, account management and staffing.
Your main responsibilities
As a Manager within the Transaction Support Team, you will manage project teams and work closely with all members as well as form strong internal linkages within Transaction Support and other departments in EY.
You will understand key business drivers, co-develop our approach with the client, agree value measurements with the client, and deliver value to the client through insights, realistic conclusions and advice.
You will plan, prepare and review deliverables in various formats including Excel spreadsheets, written reports, presentations and discussions with the client.
You will understand the capabilities of the company and look for opportunities to sell additional services to our clients.
You will play a key role in business plan initiatives (eg key accounts, staffing, customer service framework).
You will be responsible for your own learning and development, providing training to others, and participating in the upward feedback
Success skills and attributes
Individuals with strong analytical skills will thrive in this environment, as you will regularly assist in researching technical accounting issues to assess the implications of valuing and structuring transactions and prepare analyzes of financial information to assess trends and volatility.
Good communication skills will also be a key trait to success in this role as you will be required to assist in preparing reports and schedules that will be delivered to clients and to develop and maintain productive working relationships with clients.
To qualify for the role you must have
Minimum of 5 years experience in transaction support or due diligence
A chartered accountant or equivalent qualification
Ability to analyze financial and non-financial information to formulate opinions and conclusions.
– Strong analytical, presentation and report writing skills
– Proficiency in spoken and written English
Ideally, you will also have
– Transactional experience/review
– Customer facing experience from a professional services background
