Tourism Minister participates in tourism expo in Tel Aviv

Tel Aviv, March 29 (BNA) The Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority Zayed bin Rashid Al-Zayani participated today in the opening ceremony of the Mediterranean International Exhibition. Tourism Market 2022 (IMTM) in Israel, which is among the largest of its kind in the Middle East.

The opening ceremony was attended by Israeli President Isaac Herzog, Tourism Minister Yoel Razvozov, as well as senior officials from the State of Israel and abroad.

The Minister of Industry toured the exhibition, in which about 40 countries are participating, to highlight the tourism sector, tourist attractions and travel offers.

Also participating in the event were representatives of exhibition centers, hotels, spas, golf courses, cruise lines, car rental companies, airlines, tour operators and destination management companies.

The Minister stressed the importance of IMTM in presenting the latest developments in the global tourism industry, noting that it focuses on the uses of technology and environmental dimensions in tourism.

He said that the large participation in the exhibition indicates the continuous recovery of the tourism sector in the region and the world, stressing that the Tunisian Tourism Authority is keen to participate in such events to strengthen its partnership with various operators in the region and the world. To enhance the tourism sector in the Kingdom, and achieve the objectives of its tourism strategy 2022-2026.

Minister Al-Zayani held several meetings with the participants in the exhibition and discussed with them ways to enhance Bahraini tourism cooperation with their countries. It also highlighted the Kingdom’s tourist attractions, such as the new exhibition and conference center, the Galali coasts and diving, in addition to the recreational and sports events hosted by Bahrain throughout the year.
