Abu Dhabi, Feb. 8 (BNA): Minister of Tourism, Fatima bin Jaafar Al-Serafi, met with Saleh Mohammed Al-Jaziri. Director General of the Tourism Sector at the Department of Culture and Tourism (DCT) and discussed the development of a joint plan for cultural and tourism cooperation.
The Minister met Issam Kazim, CEO of the Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DCTCM) and discussed aspects of the tourism industry in the Emirate of Dubai.
Al-Serafi also held a meeting with the Chairman of Sharjah Tourism and Commerce Development Authority, Khaled Jassim Al-Midfa, and they discussed joint cooperation to exchange experiences and diversity in the tourism sector.
In a statement, the minister praised the achievements of the tourism sector in the UAE and its increasing contribution to the gross domestic product, in addition to the promotion of tourism investments.
She affirmed the ministry’s commitment to expanding cooperation with tourism authorities in the UAE, noting the development of the sector in both countries.
